    Site Manager

    Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Thomasville History Center, this is an opportunity for an emerging museum professional to manage an amazing historic site located in a community that is hyper-focused on historic resources, preservation, and tourism. Site Manager is responsible for effective administration, management, and operation of the site. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: budget development and management; maintenance of site; resource management and curatorial care of museum artifacts and documents; visitor services, interpretive and educational program planning, and scheduling; development of beneficial partnerships and ongoing cultivation of a close partnership with local civic and cultural entities, volunteer management, promotional and marketing activities; and management of minor repair and maintenance projects. The Site Manager assists the Executive Director with effective coordination and interaction with History Center staff, community stake holders, and local government entities on matters affecting the site. Provide leadership to any staff, volunteers, or stakeholders as they interact with the property. The Site Manager will successfully manage and conserve the site’s natural and cultural resources. Work under minimal supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

    Salary Ranges: 18.00-20.00 per hour
